BRB…Coffee Run.

I work from home, and so do about 99% of my coworkers. A lot of times, we talk about coffee : the types of machines we have at home, how good our coffee is, how it’s better than anything we’d get at a coffee shop.

Yet somehow, almost every morning or midday, someone drops a message in the Teams chat saying, “brb... coffee run.”

And off we go. Driving out of our homes to go buy coffee.

It’s funny when you think about it. We have everything we need to make a great cup at home, but still, we step out.

I guess even with all the comfort of working from home, our bodies still crave that little bit of human interaction.

Getting out, breathing some fresh air, seeing other people, even if it’s just a quick trip to grab a coffee, feels good.

I just find it fascinating.
